Join us for a special jazz performance by Joshua Bayer. Bayer is the Musician in Residence, from the Department of Performing Arts at American University. A guitarist, bassist, composer and director, Bayer has performed at venues such as: The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Detroit Opera House, Blues Alley, The Harlem Renaissance Festival, The World Jazz Festival, The Phillips Collection, The Contemporary Theater Festival, The One Step Down, New York Museum Of Modern Art, National Public Radio, and Philadelphia’s Chris’s Jazz Café. This {free} performance, take place from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

We welcome to the vineyard for the first time the cool jazz of Connie Guy and her husband Ted Jenkins. Sunday Summer Music Series: Robert Sykes Jazz Ensemble

The Robert Sykes jazz ensemble has been performing in the Washington area for the past 30 years. With an emphasis on the classic American songbook along with jazz standards the group manages to be accessible while at the same time pushing the boundaries in just the right places. Featured in venues such as Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns and the Kennedy Center the ensemble never fails to please. In the past few years Robert has performed at events hosted by many Washington notables including Hillary and Bill Clinton, Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Dick Cheney.

{free} Friday Night Music: Veronneau

Join us from 6 pm – 9 pm for Veronneau. This International acoustic quartet has been captivating festival, concert hall and jazz club audiences across North America and Europe with their vocal and guitar based world-jazz. Their delicious blend of bossa nova, samba and swing is performed in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
